Bluffs and Brews
Bluffs & Brews adventure of the summer takes participants on a
canoe-bound journey through the Mississippi River Backwaters. While
canoeing, take a step back in time and learn about the importance of the
river to the town and region as well as learn a little history about
the parks we have on the river. Then join us at a local restaurant after
trip.

Blacksmithing Project Shop: Bottle Opener (One-day Workshop)
Join blacksmithing instructors from Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center for a one-day blacksmithing workshop at Dodge Nature Center’s new forge at Shepard Farm. Build your blacksmith skills with a fun and useful project: making a bottle opener! They’re quick to make and can incorporate all basic blacksmithing processes in one compact project.
Blacksmithing Basics 1 with Coal Forge (8-session Series)
Join blacksmithing instructors from Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center for a four-week dive into the basics of blacksmithing at Dodge Nature Center’s new forge at Shepard Farm! This course is designed to ignite your passion for blacksmithing and introduce you to the seemingly endless ways of shaping iron with fire and hammer.

shop but so much more. Wednesday thru Friday mornings join us for Coffee,
Bagels, Latte's, Ice Coffee, Cinnamon rolls, cookies and pastries. Saturday and
Sunday mornings we also offer Breakfast sandwiches.
