From his chart-topping soulful gospel albums to his No. 1 country standards, few artists have left a more indelible mark on America’s musical landscape than Gene Watson. As a newly inducted member of the Grand Ole Opry in 2020, Watson has been thrilling audiences for 60 years. This masterful country stylist from Houston, Texas, known as “The Singer’s Singer,” has more than 75 charted titles, 23 Top 10 hits, six No. 1 country singles and five No. 1 gospel hits. Watson is also a member of the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame and the Houston Music Hall of Fame.

Gangster Ghost Tour 2024

History haunts the halls of Landmark Center as infamous gangsters return to life for Gangster Ghost Tour.

One night a year, the rumors of Landmark Center’s haunting come true, and Landmark Center is filled with the spirits of days gone by. Cross paths with the ghosts of gangsters, G-men, and judges long since departed, and see Landmark Center through the eyes of Saint Paul’s most famous and infamous inhabitants.

Tickets are $10 per person (suitable for ages 12+), tours begin at 6pm, last one hour, and depart every 15 minutes. The last tour scheduled is 8:30pm.

THE DRIFTERS…one of Rock & Roll’s founding vocal groups is once again touring the U.S. under the auspices of their original management team.

Ballet Tuesdays

Landmark Center hosts FREE lunch-hour ballet performances and demonstrations in partnership with Ballet Co.Laboratory. Under the skylights and between the pillars in the atrium of the historic building, dancers perform from noon to 1 p.m. During each performance, the dancers talk about the ballet and teach some of the dance moves for those interested in learning more. These events are great for those with small children who love to dance!

Scandia Heritage Alliance is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to preserve and celebrate Scandia's rich history, culture, arts and rural character. We embrace the charming, unique character of our community, recognizing its roots as a home to Ojibwe and Dakota tribes, Minnesota's first Swedish settlement, a historic center of mercantile business and agriculture - as well as its relationship to the Wild and Scenic St. Croix River and Minnesota Lake Country.
