Grand Portage Welcome Center

Grand Portage Welcome Center is located on US Highway 61 in the Grand Portage State Park Visitors Center at the Canadian border. We offer free maps, brochures, and other helpful Minnesota travel information services.

The Grand Portage Welcome Center is open year-round. The park’s information desk, gift shop, and interpretive display hall are open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM. Hours may be reduced at times due to staffing shortages.

Grand Portage State Park

Grand Portage State Park has beautiful and accessible views, like the highest waterfall in the state. It is an easy one-half mile, wheelchair-accessible paved trail to High Falls. There is also a rugged 3.5-mile hiking trail to Middle Falls, with spectacular ridgetop views of Lake Superior and Canada. The spectacular scenery sets the stage for hiking, photography, picnicking, and more. This park is day-use only and does not offer overnight camping.

Grand Portage National Monument

Reconstructed fur trade depot, Ojibwe Village exhibit, and 8.5 mile historic Grand Portage trail. Living History, Park Ranger guided programs/demonstrations, Ojibwe Village exhibit, fur trade history, area history; historical demonstrations, historic cooking and baking demonstrations; Visitor Center, and gift shop.

Grand Portage Lodge & Casino

Come and enjoy this beautiful lodge and casino located on Lake Superior with 24 hour casino, attached 95 room lodge including a pool, sauna, gift shop, meeting facilities, lounge, and lake view dining. Marina, camping and RV park. 167K of hiking trails. Visit Grand Portage State Park, Grand Portage National Monument and Isle Royale National Park all located within minutes of the Grand Portage Lodge & Casino in the winter season enjoy our well groomed snowmoblie trails.

Grand National Golf Course

Whether you’re a novice or pro, golf enthusiasts alike will enjoy the challenging and picturesque 18-hole course at Grand National Golf Club. Amidst a backdrop of rolling green hills, mature trees, ponds, and quiet valleys, Grand National provides the ideal setting for a serious tournament or fun outing on the fairway. Walk the course or rent a GPS power cart for your convenience.

Grand Marais Recreation Area

The Grand Marais campground, RV park and marina on Lake Superior. 300 campsites with a full spectrum of prices and settings. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire box. The marina features 30 slips, mooring buoys in the harbor and fuel and pump-out on the service dock. Also at our Lake Superior location: 4 clean, modern bath houses, Rec. Hall, Picnic Pavilion, ball field, Sweethearts Bluff Nature Area, RV dump station, 2 public water access ramps, playground with horseshoes, basketball and over a mile of shoreline. Wi-Fi, wood, ice and supplies at the office.

Grand Marais Playhouse

A non profit community theater dedicated to offering high quality theater and educational opportunities. We value artistic challenge, diversity, community and collaboration.

Grand Marais Boat Rides and Charter Fishing

Fully guided charter fishing and boat rides on Lake Superior. Come aboard the Reel Swede for a boat ride, or book a charter and we will go trolling for Trout and Salmon. Our boat is a fully equipped twin engine vessel, perfect for lake Superior. We have over 30 years experience on the great lakes.
