Aspelund Winery

In 2007, Bruce and Dawn Rohl opened Aspelund Peony Gardens. Besides growing and selling peony plants, they have invested in planting 450 elderberry bushes, 150 apple trees, and 80 grape vines.

A long time wine making enthusiast, Bruce has been honored at the county fair for his wine. It runs in his blood, as they say, his ancestors were vintners in France.

Ashawa Cross Country Ski Trails

28.0 km trackset. Mostly intermediate level trails. Trail runs through high, rocky outcrops with scenic vistas, and black spruce bogs. Circles western part of Lake Vermillion and connects area resorts, ends at Elbow Lake. Maps along trail. Ski pass required.
