Bites Grill & Bar

Located just south of Pine River on the west side of State Highway 371 and the Paul Bunyan Trail, Bites Grill & Bar is a new kind of restaurant. Bites features slow roasted meats and creative concoctions served to you as just a few bites, sharable plates, crafted sandwiches, salads, pastas or full dinners.

Birnamwood Public Golf Course

Nestled in a residential area, Birnamwood is scenic, moderately hilly and well maintained. Birnamwood is designated as a fully certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by Audubon International. playing the golf course you will notice bluebird houses, natural areas with wild flowers and a butterfly garden. Golf rates are among the lowest in the area. Birnamwood is a 9 hole, par 3 course.

Bird Lake Trail

Twelve miles of skiing and hiking trail. Mostly beginner and intermediate level trails. Located from Hoyt Lakes 5 mi E on Co Rd 110 at Bird Lake. Additional parking lot on east edge of Hoyt Lakes. Trail winds through rolling hills of aspen, birch, open bogs,and lowlands with black spruce. Maps along trail.

Hungry? The Birchwood Cafe in Aitkin, Minnesota is here for your hungry appetite. The breakfast specials are served daily 5:30 am until 8am, with other daily specials ending at 11:00 am. Lunch specials and dinner entrees are also available.
