Birch Ridge Resort on Leech Lake/ Sucker Bay

Only resort located on Sucker Bay of Leech Lake. Protected harbor, small children's beach, lodge with a gameroom, TV, bar with beer and setups, pizza, snacks and ice cream. Fish for Walleye, Muskie, Northern pike, largemouth bass and a variety of panfish can all be caught. Fish cleaning available.

Mattila's Birch Lake Resort

Owned and operated by the Mattila Family since 1938 and located on Dunka River Bay. Secure harbor launch ramp & docks avaialble. 6 cabins: 1 room, 2 or 3 bedroom for rent by the week or 3 day weekends. 10 lakeside RV or tent campsites with electric, shower house with sauna. Fish for walleyes, northerns, crappies or small mouth bass in 20 mile long scenic Birch Lake. Mostly undeveloped shoreline, 20 miles south of Ely and BWCA.

Birch Lake Campground and Day-Use Area

The campground features 24 shaded drive-in sites campsites, five walk-in campsites and a group camp located near Big Birch Lake, a boat landing, vault toilets and a hand pump for drinking water. Motorboats are allowed on the lake and noise could be a factor on the weekends for campers. All regular sites are first come, first served. The group camp is reservable.
Big Birch Lake is known to be an ideal habitat for panfish, crappie, small mouth bass, northern pike and walleye.
