Discover the art of photographing wolves at the International Wolf Center. Participants will learn important information about wolves and what to look for in capturing their unique behaviors. See how the 2020 pups are adapting to life in the Exhibit Pack as the fall colors start to appear. The schedule highlights the Exhibit Pack's peak activity for photographing and allows for a Saturday field trip to view surrounding wolf habitat.

This year, the Wishes & More Annual Ball is taking it back a century! We're looking for Wise Guys and Glamorous Dolls to join us as we celebrate a time of "anything goes." Don your dinner jackets and fedoras – or slip into dresses with feathers and fringe and gather at the greatest Speakeasy to roar in a century. We'll be ignoring prohibition with drinks flowing, food aplenty, auctions in full swing and music for you to shimmy the night away at the after-party.

We are looking forward to this year’s festival. It will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 10am-4pm. As always, the festival is free for everyone, but donations are welcome.
As per tradition, we have many crafters and artisans that will be demonstrating and selling their wares. Local authors will be there for book signings. Musicians will be performing.
Strawberry Fields will again be joining us to provide carriage and guided horse rides. We will have several baby farm animals for the children to play with and hold.

Northern Minnesota is home to a diverse lichen community. These species cover nearly 8% of the terrestrial surface of the earth, yet are relatively unknown to most of us. Join us on this trip to get firsthand experience in lichen identification, as well as to learn a few of the more common lichens in our area. During the trip, we will be making small collections of lichens for the Welcome Center or personal use! We MAY utilize snowshoes for this Field Trip (Limited availability, please RSVP if snowshoes are needed.
