The Dot

“Just make a dot and see where it takes you.” When Vashti’s teacher asks her to draw a picture, Vashti insists she’s not an artist and makes an angry dot to prove her point. But when Vashti’s teacher frames her dot and hangs it up, Vashti is sent on a surprising journey of self-discovery. This charming fable about the power of the creative spirit comes to life through music and dance this winter with our continuing collaboration with Escalate Dance.

The Dinner Detective Interactive Murder Mystery Show

The Dinner Detective is the largest, award-winning, interactive comedic murder mystery dinner show in the United States. Our immensely popular murder mystery shows are set in the present day. Unlike other murder mystery dinner shows (or just dinner shows in general), with The Dinner Detective, you and your guests will not find themselves staring at cheesy costumes, there will be no recited campy dialogue and certainly no hokey song and dance. Our performers are dressed just like everyone else, leaving all of the guests to suspect who is a part of the show and who is not!

The Day You Begin

“There will be times when you walk into a room and no one there is quite like you…” and so opens The Day You Begin by National Book Award and Newbery Honor winning author of Brown Girl Dreaming, Jacqueline Woodson. This highly-acclaimed, lyrical picture book by the National Ambassador for Young People’s literature debuts on our stage in the spring. Capture the courage with us to take those first steps into a place where nobody knows you and yet somehow you open the door and walk in.

The Curious Savage

Eden Prairie Players presents its 23rd winter play, The Curious Savage, a comedic play about Ethel P. Savage, an elderly woman whose husband recently died and left her $10 million dollars, equivalent to more than $100 million dollars today. Contrasting the kindness and loyalty of psychiatric patients with the avarice and vanity of "respectable" public figures & family members, it calls into question conventional definitions of sanity while lampooning celebrity culture.
