Nisswa-Stamman Scandinavian Folk Music Festival

Nisswa Stamman Scandinavian folk music and dance festival will celebrate its 21st year at the Nisswa Pioneer Village. This ever-growing event offers a celebration of Scandinavian and Scandinavian/American folk music in the northwoods. Performers travel from Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland as well as various parts of the United States and the local area, to play at this festival on several stages. The event also offers singing and dancing workshops, a children's activity area and Scandinavian foods.

Nisswa Winter Jubilee

Jubilee activities include snow sculptures, parade, wood splitting contest, smoosh racing, medallion hunt and an ice fishing derby on Nisswa Lake and more! Winter fun for the entire family!

Nisswa Firecracker Run

The Firecracker tradition means something different to everybody - family get togethers, summertime, sunshine, up north, the lake, Forth of July, friendships, and more. The Nisswa Firecracker Run Up North events is a northwoods family tradition that has grown exponentially since its debut in 2010. The event features a morning 5K, 10K and Kids Run. It is known for it's laid back atmosphere, comfy event shirts, amazing crawfish boil, free Pabst and super fun finish line. The race starts on Main Street.

Nihon Teien Matsuri--Japanese Garden Festival

The Normandale Japanese Garden Festival will take place on Saturday, September 21 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The festival will feature traditional food, flute and drum demonstrations, Garden Tours, sword demonstrations, koi feedings, Origami and Ikebana demonstrations, kids activities, Japanese martial arts, boutique shopping and more.
