MN Fishing Opener 2022

We welcome fisherman for MN Fishing Opener. Our cabins have cozy heaters for that Spring coolness in the air and the fish are looking for your bait: northern pike, BIG sunfish, crappies and large mouth bass. Call first regarding ice out and ask if we would have any opener specials.

Mississippi Valley Orchestra Concert "Beethoven 7"

The Mississippi Valley Orchestra, under the baton of Artistic Director Ho-Yin Kwok will present a phenomenal concert at Augustana Lutheran Church in West St. Paul.

There will be a pre-concert discussion at 2:15 pm at the church.

All are invited to attend. The event is free of charge. Donations are gratefully accepted.

Mississippi Valley Orchestra — "Firebird"

The Mississippi Valley Orchestra is in concert Sunday May 17 at 3 pm at the gorgeous Benson Great Hall on the campus of Bethel University

There will be a pre-concert discussion at 2:15pm. The performance is free with donations gratefully accepted. Facility is wheelchair accessible and families with children are always welcome. Bethel University features plenty of free parking, great acoustics and comfy seats.

Miss Lillian: A Life of Service

Lillian Carter was much more than President Jimmy Carter's mother - she was a social activist, great humanitarian, nurse, peanut farmer, and nurturer. She celebrated her 70th Birthday in India while serving in the Peace Corps. She was astonishing in her ordinariness: she loved to fish and disliked cooking.

Minnesota Women in WWII

During World War II, Minnesota women enlisted in all branches of the military and worked for the military as civilians. They labored in factories, mines, and shipyards. They were also tireless peace activists, and they worked to relocate interned Japanese American citizens and European refugees. They served as cryptologists, journalists, pilots, riveters, factory workers, nurses, entertainers, and spies.

Minnesota State VEX Robotics Championship

VEX is the largest and fastest growing middle and high school robotics program globally with more than 3,500 teams from 20 countries playing in over 250 tournaments worldwide. The competition judges team ability to program, drive, and control a robot.
