Free Screening: "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band"

Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band with a heaping helping of Abbey Road, thiscult favorite features the Bee Gees and Peter Frampton as the Fab Four and George Burns as the narrator. Don’t miss the cavalcade of cameos including Steve Martin, Aerosmith, Tina Turner, Alice Cooper, and Billy Preston nor the film’s finale that re-creates the iconic album cover in a sing-along extravaganza.

Free Family Night Concert Series: Haydn Go Seek

Join the Mankato Symphony Orchestra for a new Family Concert Series created for children and their caregivers. The performance features musicians, actors, storytelling, and musical activities. Concerts have a run time of approximately 45 minutes and are performed without intermission. All ages are welcome!

All performances are held at the Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota. Come to the concert an hour early (starting at 2 pm) and enjoy hands-on play at the Museum at no cost. What a great way to get the wiggles out before the show!

Express Concert: Coleman’s Afro-Cuban Concerto

Join us for an Express
Concert inspired by music rooted in and born from African rhythm and dance. No
matter the continent or time period, the works on this program speak to the
idea of interconnection, with music stemming from the same sounds and
traditions. Afro-Cuban Concerto, a work by the SPCO’s newest Sandbox Composer-in-Residence
Valerie Coleman, opens the concert and sets the stage for a program featuring four
works that span across centuries and continents.

The artistry of 20th-century legends Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra takes center stage for an evening celebrating the talent and tenacity of two great American singers.

Driven by passion, grit and captivating musical talent, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald’s live collaborations revealed real warmth, wit and sophistication. Award-winning vocalists Tony DeSare and Capathia Jenkins beautifully recreate Frank and Ella's friendship, onstage rapport and sparkling harmonies in a performance that truly shines.

Fourth of July Fireworks

Spend the day in Allison Park from 11am-3pm as our Knights of Columbus serve up burgers, hotdogs, beverages and all the extras!
Stick around until dusk (9:45ish) for the always spectacular fireworks display over Sleepy Eye Lake provided by our Sleepy Eye Fire Department.**Please note this is a weather pending event, so be sure to check back here for the latest announcements. Remember our fire department puts safety first, so if you're worried about missing the show, arrive early and have a memorable night!

Fourth Fest 2021

The Midwest's greatest Fourth of July celebration and fireworks extravaganza! Visit Bayfront Festival Park during the Independence Day celebration! Duluthians and visitors alike will enjoy this FREE community celebration. Minnesota's largest fireworks display produced by the city of Duluth.

The aerial display will be fully synchronized to a musical program that will be broadcast on the radio.

Founder's Day

Founder’s Day is Caledonia’s annual celebration which takes place in mid-June. During Founder’s Day weekend, Caledonia is filled with a wide-variety of events that everyone can enjoy. On Saturday morning, you’ll find Main Street filled with classic cars for the car show. At Gazebo Park, children’s events such as the Be-Green Fun Fest allow the children to enjoy the Founder’s Day festivities as well. There are also bean-bag tournaments and Bingo games held throughout the day.
