Anthony McGill Plays Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto

Leading soloist and Principal
Clarinet of the New York Philharmonic Anthony McGill joins us in his SPCO debut
for a program that showcases the rich brilliance of the clarinet, an instrument
celebrated for its vast tonal range. Benjamin Britten’s three-movement
Sinfonietta, highlights the musicians of the SPCO in its bareness and delicate
balance between woodwinds and strings. Two Classical concertos end the program —
one by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the other by his French contemporary Joseph

Beethoven, Bach and Britten

Strings take center stage as noted cellist and conductor Paul Watkins joins us for a luminous cello concerto, Britten's idyllic musical portrait and Beethoven's Fourth Symphony.

Beautiful Vision - The Songs of Van Morrison

The many incarnations of Van Morrison from "Brown-Eyed Girl" and "Domino" to "Into The Mystic" and "Cleaning Windows" is celebrated and led by Twin Cities' soul and bluesman Mick Sterling and a band so strong that Van Morrison would surely choose it for his own. Intricate, essential background vocals are brilliantly handled by Cate Fierro, Katie Gearty and Michelle Cassioppi with the classic Van horn parts delivered by The Street Choir Horn Section. Hear songs including "Jackie Wilson Said," "Moondance," "I've Been Working," "Tupelo Honey," "Crazy Love" and many more.

BEAR'ly Open XIII

Join us for the White Bear Lake BEAR’ly Open – Golf on Ice winter fun event. In its 13th year, the event brings hundreds of local residents to White Bear Lake County Park at Ramsey Beach on the frozen shores of White Bear Lake to enjoy an afternoon of golf on ice. An 18-hole course, complete with real pine trees, a hospitality tent, food, and entertainment make it a great way to have fun and raise money for the White Bear Lake Emergency Food Shelf. There is also a Community Dance the night before the event at the White Bear Country Inn. Official Event of the Saint Paul Winter Carnival.

Bean Hole Days in Pequot Lakes

A tradition since 1938. Save the date for Bean Hole Days in Pequot Lakes July 16-17, 2024! This one-of-a-kind event is rootin' tootin' good fun for the whole family! The huge cast iron kettles of beans are buried on Tuesday, July 16 to cook overnight and will be served on Wednesday, July 17 at noon to more than 3,000 hungry visitors. Lines form early, so make sure to purchase a 2024 Bean Hole Days mug and head to the front of the “Fast Pass for Gas” line!

Beading 101

Learn basic beading styles and techniques by creating a project, like a necklace or a bracelet, to take home in this two-day workshop. A light lunch will be provided on Sunday.

The workshop runs:

Saturday: 1 pm-5 pm
Sunday: 10 am-2 pm

A minimum of five participants is required. Children under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult
