The City of Victoria has a tent at the market to spotlight community resources around the area with everyone. The Victoria Farmers Market at ENKI is open from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursdays from June 27 to September 5, 2024 in the lower ENKI parking lot.
The Virginia Area Historical Society's Annual Dinner is open to to the public and will feature Pete Kero of Barr Engineering in Hibbing, Minnesota. Pete will be talking about his book, "Minescapes: Reclaiming Minnesota's Mined Lands." looking at five generations of mine reclamation practices on the Iron Range. F-O-K Studios at Farwell-on-Water, 106 W Water Street just south of Harriet Island, will be celebrating creativity during the kick-off weekend of the St. Paul Art Crawl. Visitors can explore three floors of artist studios with over 50 artists and musicians. You will find a special exhibition of resident artists in the 3rd Floor Gallery, and enjoy some complimentary beverages and music in the 3rd Floor Lounge.
On May 4th, Pipestone National Monument will host its first Star Party of the year. From 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm visitors can look through telescopes with astronomers and learn more about the cosmos! Photographer Marty DeWitt will be onsite for photo enthusiasts who want to learn astrophotography (a DSLR or mirrorless camera and a tripod are required for this activity). As always, complimentary star-themed snacks will be available while supplies last!
