Big Woods Biome Hike, 10-12 pm, Free ages 12+ - The Big Woods is one of the major biomes found in Minnesota. Come learn about what makes this biome unique and explore the Big Woods at River Bend Nature Center. Program consists of a short presentation followed by a naturalist-led hike.

Art Speaks: Contemporary Expressions of Zapotec Weaving and Dyeing with Porfirio Gutiérrez

Join us for a special free hybrid Art Speaks talk with Guest Teaching Artist Porfirio Gutiérrez. Porfirio will share his work and the significance of Zapotec weaving and dyeing traditions for his contemporary creative practice. Following Porfirio's presentation, there will be time for Q&A from the audience. This is a hybrid presentation that will occur both in-person at Textile Center and online through Zoom.

Trout Brook Nature Sanctuary

Trout Brook Nature Sanctuary is an approximately 42 acre site located west of I-35E between Norpac Rd. and Cayuga Ave. The recently restored nature sanctuary is part of the larger Trout Brook Greenway. The Trout Brook Regional Trail runs through the site from Jackson St. to Cayuga where it connects to the Gateway Trail.
