Valentines Tea -SOLD OUT-

On Saturday, February 17th, at 3:30 p.m., the LeDuc Historic Estate will celebrate its annual Valentine's tea. This is a 3-course tea featuring sandwiches, scones and due to the occasion, chocolates paired with one of three teas. This year's program will discuss why chocolate is associated with the holiday. A tour of the house will be included after the final course.

Join the LeDuc Estate as we celebrate Mother's Day with you and your loved ones! Enjoy a three-course meal paired with a variety of teas and you enjoy a presentation about Mary LeDuc and her relationship with her 4 children, Minnie, Florence, Willie, and Alice.

Registrants will also receive a tour of the house as we present our Victorian Women-themed tour.

Snowshoe to the Hegman Lake Petroglyphs in the BWCA -SOLD OUT-

Join friends, new and old, on an evening snowshoe into the world’s largest Dark Sky Sanctuary- the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness! Enjoy a roughly 5-mile (round trip) snowshoe to visit the Hegman Lake pictographs while experiencing the grandeur of the universe above you.

Boreal Stargazing Week

Embrace the winter darkness and discover the magic of Minnesota's starbright skies! Join us for a week of free activities for students, families, and friends that will immerse you in learning and stargazing.

Ski Event and Telescope Program at Voyageurs National Park

Join the Polar Polers, Voyageurs National Park, and Voyageurs Conservancy for cross country skiing and a telescope observation session at Tilson Bay. Meet at the Tilson Bay Bogwalk parking lot. Bring warm layers and a headlamp!

Note: Please bring your own skis OR rent skies before the program begins (they are not available at Tilson Bay Bogwalk). Limited skis are available for rent at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center.

Night Sky Watching Party -SOLD OUT-

Look for constellations, hear stories, and explore our inspiring universe alongside night sky experts, park naturalists, and local astronomers. Learn how our night sky has been lost to light pollution, and simple things to do to bring back the night. Bring the whole family for this extraordinary night!

Exploring Dark Skies at the Marshall W. Alworth Planetarium

Join Astro Bob, the Arrowhead Astronomical Society, and the Marshall W Alworth Planetarium to explore the wonders of the night sky. Come see Jupiter and the moon up close, learn about the adverse effects of light pollution, and what you can do to be a steward of the night sky.
