Latino Nature Fest

Experience Latino Nature Fest, a celebration of the cultures that make up the Latino community and the nature that connects us all! This event will include music, art, and food and is open to all. Latino Nature Fest is hosted by the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, the City of Bloomington, Indigenous Roots, and Huellas Latinas.

An Authentic Truth

Minneapolis-based artist Peyton Scott Russell creates art in a unique style called plein aire graffiti. His exhibition at Artistry, "An Authentic Truth", will open with a reception on June 29 from 6:30-8:00 PM.

Wolves and Women's Weekend: Boundary Waters Adventure

Spend a relaxing weekend learning about wolves and the northwoods while you enjoy the company of women whose lives are as hectic as yours. Slow it down for the weekend; relax with some wine and cheese as we gather at the Northern Tier High-Adventure Canoe Base for a weekend of canoeing, radio telemetry and trekking through the beautiful northwoods.

This program has many outdoor, moderately strenuous activities. Dress appropriately for the weather and be sure to bring warm layers of clothing as well as bedding for your cabin.

Wolves After Dark

Have you ever wondered what happens after nightfall with the International Wolf Center’s ambassador wolves?

Spend an evening learning about wolf behavior and watching the Exhibit Pack's weekly carcass feeding. Participants actually camp out in the Center’s auditorium in full view of the wolves and help the Center's wolf care team gain a better understanding of pack dynamics.

Wolf Photography Weekend

Discover the art of photographing wolves at the International Wolf Center. Participants will learn important information about wolves and what to look for in capturing their unique behaviors. In addition to the Exhibit Pack, participants will spend some time in the surrounding Superior National Forest.

Lodging is not included in this program but is available at hotels in the Ely area.

Wolf Family Rendezvous- REGISTRATION FULL

Join Center staff for fun, wolf-themed activities, private lessons about our ambassador wolves, guided hikes in the beautiful Superior National Forest and a sleepover in our auditorium!

This program includes indoor and outdoor activities. Please come prepared for the weather!

Wildlife Career Day

Join our Wildlife Career Day and meet local biologists and others who work with wildlife. You’ll get a special behind the scenes tour to learn more about our wolves and even create an enrichment activity for our wolves to try! Wrap-up your day by watching our wolves be fed their weekly meal at What’s for Dinner?
