Voices of the Valley, a Cannon
Valley Trail interpretive program is planned to assist a visitor’s
understanding and exploration of the Cannon River Valley and also
provides educational and entertaining programs for Trail users.
Spend a day in the shoes of a biologist when you join us for our wolf research weekend adventure! Learn your way around the tools biologists use to locate wolves in the field, test your skills hunting for elusive radio collar signals, and learn more about how wolf research informs wolf management. Then, observe our wolves feeding at the Saturday night "What's for Dinner?" program before settling in to spend a night in front of the wolf-viewing windows.
Now in the 12th incredible year of performing hundreds of sellout
performances, The Fabulous Armadillos and Collective Unconscious come
together to recreate the magical songs we all know as the premier band
of California Rock in the 70’s, known as the Eagles. You will hear all
the hits and relive the sound of your turntable spinning all those
incredible albums. Hear Take It Easy, Lyin’ Eyes, One Of These Nights,
Desperado, I Can’t Tell You Why, Witchy Woman, Hotel California, Take It
Encourage lifelong readers with by enriching the lives of young learners with books, crafts and playtime! Bring the kids to the History Center to enjoy story time while you enjoy museum time, a walk along our beautiful grounds or time in our archives all for FREE.
The Grand Marais Music Collaborative will once again be hosting the Stars of the North Music festival at Up Yonder in Grand Marais on Friday July 26th and Saturday July 27th.
This annual fundraising concert will feature many cornerstone local musicians as well as some special guests.

Fairmont Area Community Theater (FACT) has been bringing community theater to the Fairmont Opera House stage for over 65 years. We welcome actors from all over southern MN and northern Iowa to perform every summer and at various times throughout the season. FACT is committed to providing opportunity for professional-quality theater craft at the local level.

The Reif invites you to visit Santa’s Village on Sunday, December 3!
This is a special event where kids can “shop” with a little assistance
from Santa’s Helpers as well as partake in a variety of other
activities.
Kid’s Shoppe: Each ticketed child will pick out one
special gift for a loved one with assistance from one of The Reif’s
Elves (no parents allowed in the shoppe ).
All gifts are wrapped on site to keep their surprise a secret. While
the parents are waiting, they can have coffee and cookies in the lobby.
The growing lineup of live entertainment at Mayo Civic Center this fall includes Sal Vulcano. The comedian and podcast host adds Rochester, Minnesota to his Live 2023 tour, performing at Mayo Civic Center on Saturday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m.
Staten Island native Sal Vulcano is best known for creating and starring in truTV’s long-running hit “Impractical Jokers,” and for “The Misery Index” on TBS. In addition to performing as part of The Tenderloins Comedy Troupe to sold-out arenas, Sal founded the No Presh Network in 2020, hosting "Hey Babe!” and “Taste Buds” podcasts.
Rock & Roll Xmas Spectacular is a Las Vegas-caliber, multimedia,
full-production show that mixes an 8-piece band with music, comedy,
parodies and even a game show! Join an all-star cast of musicians as
they rock their way through timeless holiday classics and bring new
takes on hit songs you didn’t even know were holiday classics. The
line-up of musicians is truly legendary as Paul “Stretch” Diethelm and
Ted Manderfeld are joined on stage by vocalists Pamela McNeill, Stacy
Everyone’s favorite detective is back in an all new adventure. Join the cast of this delicious tale as Red Riding Hood sets out to discover who is behind a string of crimes that are turning Candyland upside down. This three week theater workshop will take students through the entire production process from auditions to casting to three performances on the main stage of the Reif.
