What Does it Mean to be Indigenous Poets Laureate?

Minnesota Poet Laureate Gwen Nell Westerman, Minneapolis Inaugural Poet Laureate Heid E. Erdrich, and former Poet Laureate of Wisconsin Kimberly Blaeser consider the honor, role, and responsibility from their Indigenous perspectives. The three Poets Laureate will be interviewed by Melissa Olson, MPR reporter.

Dragon Boat Festival

The Dragon Festival is an annual celebration of Asian-Pacific cultures held every Summer in St. Paul, Minnesota. It features Dragon Boat racing, tasty ethnic foods and authentic cultural activities.

Mission: To bring together the Greater Twin Cities diverse communities in celebration of the diverse Asian Pacific cultures through an annual dragon festival.

Maker's Market, Hastings, MN

The Makers Market series provides a way to support our makers and artisans within our historic downtown and riverfront park while enjoying Music in the Park. Each market date will have some unique vendors so be sure to check out this event all summer long! This year we are anticipating woodworking goods, freeze dried candy, craft beer samples, novelties, home décor, soy wax candles, custom jewelry, and fabric goods. The markets will be held in conjunction with Music in the
Park events, with live music beginning at 7 p.m.
