Dinosaur Expedition at Como Town

DINOSAUR EXPEDITION at Como Town is a Gigantic Dinosaur event where kids of all ages can explore and discover their favorite pre-historic giants. Our Dinosaurs are “true-to-life” in both size and appearance. This limited-time, must-see event features the LARGEST dinosaurs touring the country. Dinosaurs are among us from May 24th to September 2nd, daily 10:30am-5:00pm; September 7th – 29th, Saturday and Sundays only, 10:30am-5:00pm. Chunky Game Day

In this program visitors will get a chance to play the game of chunky, a sport enjoyed by the people of Americas’ first cities 1,000 years ago.

Chunky is a game that involves rolling discs across the ground and throwing spears as close to the disc's resting point as possible. It's a great game to play out under the summer skies and on the summer grasses!

Arrowheads and Stone Tools

Learn about the art of making spear points and arrowheads, and how modern flint knappers keep this ancient craft alive. The event will include hands-on crafts, games, and demonstrations.

Mississippi River Paddle Weekend

Join us for the third annual Mississippi River Paddle Weekend, hosted by Two Paddles Canoe & Kayak Races from June 7-9, 2024, with events and races taking place from Brainerd to the Twin Cities. With growing participation and a new finish line location as part of Champlin’s Father Hennepin Festival, this year’s event offers a diverse range of races and tours to over 200 paddlers on the Mississippi River, promoting inclusivity, celebrating community, and bringing people to the river's beauty.

42nd Annual Antique Engine and Tractor Show

42nd annual antique farming and agricultural equipment show, featuring equipment from Allis-Chalmers and related companies, with a second feature of antique trucks. Activities and displays include: -Threshing -Sawmill -Rideable scale railroad -Tractors of various makes/models -Gas engines -Daily tractor parade -Friday evening tractor pull at 5 PM -Musical entertainment -1930s Farmstead -Scavenger hunt and games And much more!
