Five lakeside two-bedroom cabins on wilderness peninsula of Big Mantrap Lake. Cabins have full kitchens and bathrooms, fireplaces and also outside charcoal grills and picnic tables. Excellent bass, muskie, northern an pan-fishing; nesting bald eagles, loons and osprey. Mountain biking and hiking trails nearby in Paul Bunyan State Forest.
The lodge has a large stone fireplace and sitting area with TV/VCR, games and piano. Pontoons and fishing boats and motors for rent.

Freeborn County Historical Museum, Library & Village

Dive into Freeborn County history! The FCHM campus is located at 1031 Bridge Avenue, Albert Lea, MN and includes a museum, an extensive research library, and a historic village. 

Established in 1948, the Freeborn County Historical Society consists of a museum, research library & village. The museum houses a gallery of changing exhibits, a museum store, the research library and archives. ​The village includes an array of historic buildings and stops as well as agricultural displays located in the Red Shed.

During this humorous, family-friendly show, watch high-flying stunts, fast-paced barefooting, graceful swivel skiing, and even human pyramids on water as the good guys fight to stop the Dark Side from claiming the River!

Freddy's Sports Grille at Grand View Lodge

Freddy’s Sports Grill is your spot for fun, food and sports. Our newly renovated restaurant features 8 big screen TVs, bar games and an incredible view. Whether you’re just getting off of the course or just stopping by to watch a game, drop by for a frosty beverage and some fantastic food. The menu features mouthwatering wings, juicy burgers, and tasty sandwiches with a full bar to wash it down. Located at The Pines Golf Course at Grand View Lodge and open daily.

Franz Jevne State Park

Secluded and peaceful, this park offers picturesque views of Ontario and the Rainy River. Short paths and a boat launch offer access to the river for fishing, where anglers can catch walleye, northern, small mouth bass and sturgeon. There is a public boat access to the Rainey River from the park. Stay overnight in one of the 21 rustic campsites. 18 campsites are drive-in and 3 are walk-in. These sites are equipped with pit toilets and a hand pump for water. There is a picnic area near the water, so you can relax as you enjoy fishing in the Rainey River.

Franklin Arts Center

The Franklin Art Center provides space for arts organizations, such as The Crossing Arts Alliance, working studios, galleries, art-focused businesses, theater, classrooms, future coffee shop, and other art-related spaces. The Franklin Arts Center is open for public use and working-studio rental, while live-work studio apartment rentals will be prioritized for low-income applicants. The Franklin Art Center holds an open house the second Saturday of every month.
