French Regional Park

Situated on the north shore of Medicine Lake in Plymouth, French Regional Park is a popular destination for boating, canoeing, sailing, swimming and picnicking. The park features several miles of trails, a sensational creative play area, two large picnic shelters and numerous lakeside picnic sites. In the winter, French's cross-country ski trails and sliding hill are lighted for evening use. The park's central location and proximity to many businesses makes it a great lunch-break destination. French Rapids Cross-Country Ski Area

16.0 km trackset. 10.0 km skate-ski. Mostly expert level trails. Located from Brainerd 2 mi NE on MN Hwy 210, then N at airport exit; look for sign for cross-country ski area. Extremely challenging, very scenic trails adjacent to the Mississippi River. Maps along trail. Ski pass required.
