Northside Celebration

This collaborative concert experience will bring the spirit of the North Minneapolis community to the stage and celebrate that spirit through music. Led by acclaimed composer, arranger and pianist Sanford Moore, Celebrate the Northside will feature a community choir - specially formed for this event - along with the SPCO and Northside artists. An unforgettable testimony to the power of connecting people through music, this program is co-presented by The Capri Theater and the SPCO - celebrating 10 years of community partnership this season!

NorthShore Inline Marathon and Skate Fest

The 2020 NorthShore Inline Marathon is the Nation's largest skating race. Thanks to a perfect point-to-point course along Lake Superior's North Shore, great roads, and roadway completely closed to outside traffic, the NorthShore Marathon is known as one of the most iconic, fun and inclusive endurance events around. Join us for our new Skate Fest, we have something for everyone at the NorthShore!

Northern Owls Evening Program

Most often, visitors to the Sax-Zim Bog are looking for owls, but do you really know “hoo” owls are? Come and learn a little about some of the owls that can sometimes be found in the Sax-Zim Bog and the surrounding area. Following a short talk, we will caravan looking for some owls at dusk!

Northern Minnesota Craft and Vendor Expo at the Miners Memorial Building. Saturday open 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm. Over 100 exhibitors with everything from hand crafted items to clothing to home upkeep.

The North Shore Winter Photography Workshop is designed to help you maximize the potential of your digital photography equipment and master effective techniques for capturing the beauty of the North Shore’s winter landscape. You’ll explore amazing locations with unique ice formations and learn to capture the interplay of ice and light with Duluth native and professional photographer Bill Hurst. Bill’s one-on-one instruction gives you direct access to professional techniques that will help elevate your winter landscape photography skills.

Norpine Fat Bike Classic

Join us in beautiful Cook County, MN for the annual Norpine Fat Bike Classic, and ride the beautiful woods along the North Shore of Lake Superior! 

This year we will have 3 events to choose from – The Long Pine Race (25 miles), the Short Pine Race (14 miles), and the Dark Sky Tour (about 4 miles). We will also be hosting a free group ride at Pincushion Mountain singletrack trails.
