Master of Illusion Live Performance
London, December 1920: It had never been done before; a small-time magician stood on the stage of St. George's Hall in front of a handful of influential booking agents.
The magician, P. T. Selbit, carefully tied an assistant into a pine box, methodically sectioned the box with sheets of glass and steel, and paused. Then he picked up a saw and tore through the center of the box, sawing the woman in half and ensuring his fame in the process.
