“All the world is here. It is there. It is everywhere. All the world is right where you are.” Our Theatre for the Very Young Series continues this August as we invite our littlest theatre-goers to follow a circle of family and friends through the unfolding adventures of one day. From exploring the tiniest shell on the beach to the widest sunset in the sky our youngest audience members will discover the importance of all things great and small. Our youngest audience members will be immersed in ALL THE WORLD through this Caldecott Honor story.
All About Dogs Day
Though dogs aren’t allowed in the main gardens at the Arboretum, on this day they’re the stars of the Arboretum’s 65-acre Dog Commons, an on-leash dog trail designed by the Nature-Based Therapeutics experts at the University of Minnesota. Dog owners are invited to come together to walk the trails, heel for photos and meet other dog-lovers. A Pet Expo features 40 pet vendors while events include a scavenger hunt, contests (cutest dog, best trick, best costume, dog-owner look-alikes), doga (dog yoga), agility demos and prizes.
Akeelah and the Bee
Underdog and hero of our story, young Akeelah has a gift for words and hopes to make it to the National Spelling Bee. With the help of her community, she might just have what it takes to make her dream come true.
AirExpo 2020
Annual aviation event featuring both static and flying exhibitions of more than 40 military and civilian aircraft. Aviation veterans on site to meet you in person. Air rides for sale in several aircraft including World War II bombers. Food vendors, other retailers, many exhibits, kids area, a full day of fun!
