Afton Art in the Park

We invite you to visit the charming St. Croix River town of Afton, MN for the annual two-day outdoor fine arts and makers market take place in Afton’s quaint, Town Square Park with over 90 vendors showcasing fine arts, pottery, woodwork, jewelry, photography, sculpture, fiber, and more. Plus great food and 2 days of live music!

This upper Midwest favorite art festival is hosted by the Afton Area Business Association and will bring 10,000+ guests through the St. Croix River Valley during the 2-day event.

Afternoon Snowshoe

Join us for a fun day of exploring all the wonder that nature provides in the winter season. Snowshoes for children and adults are available to borrow or bring your own. Bonfire, treats and drinks provided by Friends of Sherburne. This event is free and open to the public.

This event is located at the Oak Savanna Learning Center.

Advanced Alcohol Inks with Mary Jo Wentz

Join Mary Jo for a workshop filled with magical exploration! Discover how to create interesting textures, vivid colors, and intricate patterns on a variety of surfaces. Create fine art paintings on Yupo paper and ceramic tiles. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned artist who wants to try a new and vibrant medium, alcohol inks are delightful and can be used to create fantastic artwork. All supplies/materials are provided for a fee.

Adult Moonlight Snowshoe Hike

Enjoy a winter night under the moonlight with a relaxing snowshoe hike at Carpenter Nature Center. After the hike, warm up by the fire and enjoy fresh popcorn and hot apple cider. In this hilarious, fast-paced comedy, the in habitants of one of the smallest trailer parks in Texas are thrown for a loop when they realize the nearby town of Tugaloo is determined to annex them. The rollicking mayhem of this flat-out funny comedy escalates as the residents attempt to secede from Texas. So grab your Stetson and come on over to Doublewide, Texas, where oife is double the fun, double the joy, and the audiences double over with laughter!

Across the Pond

Piano Virtuoso Gareth Cordery returns to Bemidji with a special program of English Piano music following his studies at Oxford. The BSO will play Edward Elgar's epic Enigma Variations in their entirety.
