Why You Should Bring Your Family to Minnesota This Winter

By Caitlin Hannah

We've already told you why Minnesota is the top spot for winter. But what if you'd like to plan the perfect family trip? Here are the many ways you can make lifelong memories in the Star of the North....

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL

Kids and parents love the indoor water slides at Great Wolf Lodge in Bloomington

Are you looking to come to the city for a weekend away? Or just need to get away without hitting the highway? There are so many things to do for kids of all ages in the Twin Cities.

If you’re looking to make a splash, indoor water parks are great ways to escape winter. Stay at Great Wolf Lodge in Bloomington or the Holiday Inn & Suites in Maple Grove with their Venetian-inspired water park. Find more indoor water parks in Minnesota.

Be close to the action at Mall of America and Nickelodeon Universe. The Radisson Blu Mall of America and J.W. Marriott are connected via skyway, so you don’t have to wear your coats. More than 50 hotels are located within 10 minutes of Mall of America in Bloomington, Eagan, and beyond and offer complimentary shuttles or stay-and-play deals for visitors.
