Children's Day

Join a day of tours and activities geared for children with free admission for ages 17 and under. Families can learn about the children who lived at the light station and join in special games, crafts, and activities.

This event is hosted in conjunction with National Get Outside Day.

Cheese and Chocolate Weekend at Winehaven!

Enjoy sampling local cheeses and wonderful chocolates at the winery. This weekend gives you the chance to not only sample a diversity of wine styles, but also to explore the creativity of local cheese and chocolate artisans.

Chanticleer - Trade Winds

Their new program, Trade Winds, is a musical journey of exploration. The Trade Winds have always guided explorers to exotic places. Set sail with Chanticleer as they visit music from Hawaii, Samoa and New Zealand, poetry set to song from China, and robust music from the seafaring peoples of Europe. Called "the world's reigning male chorus" by the New Yorker, this "orchestra of voices" is known around the world for its original, often haunting, interpretations of vocal literature - from Renaissance to jazz and from gospel to venturesome new music.

Chamber Music: Sunday Seven

Seven unique pieces, each highlighting a different family of instruments, come together in one program to showcase many of the individual voices that make up the Minnesota Orchestra.

CenterStage Minn: Jillian Rae

Jillian Rae is a truly multi-disciplinary singer, songwriter, and performer. Always connected to her roots in Northern Minnesota, the Minneapolis musician has expanded on her upbringing as a classical violinist to become one of the most powerful and unique voices in the Twin Cities music scene.

CenterStage Minn: Dave Simonett

As the lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter for Trampled by Turtles, Dave Simonett had a noteworthy 2016 full of sold out shows coast to coast - including performances at Newport Folk Festival and Red Rocks Amphitheater. An intimate, up-close and personal experience with one of Minnesota's most prominent musical artists.

CenterStage Minn: Corey Medina & Bros with Leah Lemm

Corey Medina is a Native American Blues Artist from Shiprock, NM. He moved to Northern Minnesota in 2012 and collaborated with Incepticons Entertainment. Through Incepticons Entertainment Corey released his debut album "Old Dog Crying" in May of 2015, produced by Garlic Brown Beats. Corey now plays, writes and produces with the Incepticons team full time and also travels with his band known as "The Brothers," hence Corey Medina & Brothers. Corey refers to the Brothers as a representation of the relationship he likes to keep with his fellow band mates.

Celebrate the Light of the World

The Celebrate the Light of the World display at the Koosman home began as one man’s idea and grew into an amazing family tradition. As the lights have grown so has their family and their love for their community. After ten years, the Koosmans have handed the responsibility for Celebrate the Light of the World to Willmar Fests. The tradition will continue for years to come for the Willmar Lakes Area and all those who come to see and Celebrate the Light of the World!
